read moreMy policy on Facebook friends has been a very relaxed one, very lazily enforced. Officially (in my own mind) I don't accept friend requests from people I've never met (either online or in person), unless that request is accompanied by a message explaining why the individual wants to be Facebook friends with me. In practice, though, I tend to accept a friend request from a stranger if we have enough friends in common. As a result, I have a friend list that contains quite a few people I've never met, never communicated with, and know nothing about. Should I do something about that?

read moreIt's been suggested (in comments on my other blog) that I take my blog in a different direction—that I write more generally about my life and focus less on topics relating to homosexuality or the LDS church. A great idea! But in addition to a change in direction I'm interested in a little bit of closure... So as of now Dichotomy (Mormon in the Closet) is, for all intents and purposes, inactive. I'll leave it up for posterity, but I'll likely not be posting to it anymore. With this new blog (and with the new year) I hope to be more prolific in posting. Happy New Year!
